‘The 100’ Season 3 Releases New Image, Shows Crumbling Post-Apocalyptic City
With all the speculation that has been going around about Season 3 of the CW's hit post-apocalyptic show "The 100," there have been a few teasers released in the past two weeks that have fans wondering.
As first reported exclusively by Entertainment Weekly, the show is about to enter its third season and the poster that has just been revealed seems to show a city that has been crumbling since the apocalypse occurred. But is also seems to show that people are still living there with smoke coming off a tall building.
It is unclear at first glance what kind of message it is trying to convey, but it certainly does indicate that the season has a sense of dread attached to it.
The fight for humanity continues when #The100 returns Thursday, January 21 at 9/8c.

The foggy overcast of the city has eclipsed the once bustling metropolis and vague outlines of the city's ruins shows that the skyscrapers have failed to some extent. They are not standing straight up, but rather crooked and some have fallen over on their closest neighbors, perched like a fallen tree in a thick forest.
Another big question for the poster is what new nation the city represents. Is it the Ice Nation? Is it possibly the City of Lights? The latter is unlikely given the dark overtone of the picture.
Here is another big question. It appears that it is Clarke standing on a mountainside looking at the city. But that cannot be definitively confirmed because you can only see her back. But if it is indeed Clarke, then why does she have red hair? Fans have already seen the teaser trailers for Season 3 and there have been no instances where she has red hair in those. So why would the poster reveal her scoping out a city, donning red hair?
It is too early to tell for that answer, but fans will get to see firsthand when it premieres on the CW on Jan. 21, 2016.
