Movie Reviews: 'Furious 7' had Most Mistakes Among 2015 Movies, Check Details Here
"Furious 7" was a box-office hit and the film took its place in the records as one of the highest-grossing films of the year -- and of all time. However, as the year comes to a close, it has been revealed that the seventh installment of the highly successful franchise also holds the top spot in one less-lauded list: the most mistakes in a 2015 film.
According to the list at the Movie Mistakes website, "Furious 7" had a whopping 41 recorded mistakes throughout the entire movie. "Jurassic World" followed with 33, while "The Martian," "Spectre" and "Mad Max: Fury Road" rounded out the top five with 19, 16 and 15 mistakes each, respectively.
The "Furious 7" mistakes were listed down on the website, from minor and understandable errors to glaring goofs such as seeing Shaw on the seventh floor and then watching him walk of the four-storey building moments after. Continuity proved to be a major obstacle as there were multiple problems with it throughout the film from disappearing wreckages, changing details and the like.
Although the lauded film ended up mistake-ridden, "Furious 7" was successful enough that the franchise is continuing with the famous storyline for the foreseeable future. They can make up for the mistakes of their last film with a host of different projects in the works including a new trilogy following the events of the last seven films, plus prequels and spin-offs also potentially in the mix.
Earlier this year, a report from Variety revealed the producers have been setting up the franchise for this move.
"We've written out story lines for various characters," actor Vin Diesel confirmed about the possible extended universe. "We've been playing with it for a long time. It's a very rich property and we're committed to treating it with a lot of class."
Universal Pictures Chairman Donna Langley agreed saying, "We're certainly in conversations about how we can expand the franchise now. It's an ensemble cast and there's room to bring characters in and out."
"Straight Outta Compton" director F. Gary Gray is set to helm the eighth installment of "Fast & Furious", while most of the franchise's regular cast is expected to return to their long-standing roles. No other cast members have been confirmed by the official team yet, although several rumors have been circulating of big names joining the roster such as Helen Mirren, Eva Mendes, Deepika Padukone, Matt Damon and more.
"Fast & Furious 8" is slated to be released in theaters on April 17, 2017.
