U.S. President Barack Obama has been making tremendous strides on the airwaves in recent weeks, including recently filming a guest spot on comedian Jerry Seinfeld's Crackle TV show "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee."

According to Deadline, Obama made a guest appearance on the show with Seinfeld for Season 7 of the "small hit" series for the streaming network. This follows the president's stint on "Running Wild" with host Bear Grylls in Alaska.

Seinfeld's show takes on a similar premise to that his '90s era NBC sitcom "Seinfeld," which famously went out at the peak of its ratings, when the comedian himself essentially cancelled the show in its prime. Just as with his previous hit show, "Comedians" is essentially about "nothing." When done correctly, a comedian like Seinfeld can make just about anything funny.

In the new show, Seinfeld drives around in beautiful cars, like his 1963 Corvette Stingray split window coupe, with various comedians and celebrity guests, such as Obama. He makes conversation with his guests, finding humor together in whatever topic comes to mind.

The newest season is scheduled to debut on the streaming network on Dec. 30, and the episode with Obama will be the lead episode right out of the gate.

Later dscussing the experience of meeting the president, Seinfeld admitted he had dreamed of something similar in his youth.

"Growing up in the '60s my kid dream was always to be an astronaut -- doing a comedy show with President Obama in and around the White House felt like going into space," Seinfeld said. "'How did I get here?' 'Is this really happening?' The President's humor and generosity are the only reasons this was even possible. He was so easy and fun to be with. Being President and just a cool guy to hang out with at the same time made the experience my own personal moonwalk. It was an unforgettable day."

Although the episode is quite different than walking on the moon, it is safe to say that Seinfeld was a little more starstruck by Obama than the president was by the comedian. But that doesn't mean that the president wasn't thrilled to be in the car with a comic legend.
