The Cleveland Cavaliers are looking for their sixth straight win when they host the New York Knicks on Wednesday night at the Quicken Loans Arena. The Cavaliers are 2-0 against the Knicks, winning 96-86 last Nov. 4 and 90-84 on Nov. 13.

Cleveland is close to full strength heading to their much-anticipated showdown against the Golden State Warriors on Christmas. Kyrie Irving finally played his first game of the season last Sunday versus the Philadelphia 76ers.

Irving had 12 points and four assists in just 17 minutes of action in the 108-96 win. "Kind of been a long, long road, but finally getting out there with my teammates was a pleasure," he said after the game.

The All-Star guard missed his first five shots before scoring on an uncontested layup after LeBron James stole the ball and passed to him. "I was on my way to the rim and I saw Ky," James said.

"He had missed his first couple shots and I was like the best way to come back is to get a layup, get an easy one and it was only right I was able to find him, welcoming him back the best way I know how," he added.

James scored 23 points on the night with five rebounds, four assists and three steals while Matthew Dellavedova added 20 points off the bench while shooting 70 percent from the field.

On the other hand, the Knicks are looking to get back on track after the Orlando Magic ended their four-game winning streak on Monday. Lance Thomas led New York with 24 points off the bench, going a perfect 9-for-9 from the field and 3-for-3 from the free throw line in the 107-99 loss.

Carmelo Anthony had 23 points, four rebounds and six assists while center Robin Lopez also was perfect from the field with 12 points and eight rebounds. Rookie sensation Kristaps Porzingis scored just nine points with eight rebounds and four blocks.

"They were hitting important shots at important moments and they were able to maintain the lead, and at the end they just played better," Porzingis said. The Latvian has been on a slump the past seven games, shooting just 3-of-21 from the 3-point area and 29 percent from the field.

The Knicks are looking for their first win of the season against the Cavaliers and have only won three of the past nine meetings since the 2013-2014 season. Tip-off in Cleveland starts at 7 p.m. ET and is available via the NBA League Pass. It is broadcasted in Canada on TSN and locally in the U.S. on MSG and FS Ohio.
