Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Feature: Multi-Disc Xbox 360 Games To Work on Latest-Gen Console in 2016?
Xbox One's backwards compatibility keeps evolving to offer greater features to fans of the Xbox line. The most recent reports on the Xbox innovation reveal that the team is close to creating support for multi-disc titles in the program.
According to a report from the Game Informer, the official "Deus Ex" Twitter account spilled the beans on the development saying the "Deus Ex: Human Revolution" multi-disc variants the "Missing Link" and "Director's Cut" will soon be available through the backwards compatibility system.
Developer Square Enix dished that the top-selling title "Deus Ex: Human Revolution" can now be played on the Xbox One as they tweeted, "Deus Ex #HumanRevolution is now backward compatible on Xbox One!"
"For those asking: Missing Link and DXHR Director's Cut are currently not supported, but the Xbox team expect them to be early next year," the team added in a later tweet.

Support for Xbox 360 multi-disc games have always been in the plans of Microsoft for the backwards compatibility program. Back in the summer, Xbox head Phil Spencer addressed the issue during the E3 2015 event in a Giant Bomb podcast via GameSpot.
"We're still working on multi-disc," Spencer said. "'Lost Odyssey' and 'Blue Dragon' are some of my favourites from the 360. There's actually work in packing a multi-disc into single that requires us to go back and look at the original package on the multiple discs and reconfigure that."
While the recent Xbox One update was a major upgrade that offered a host of new features including Windows 10, the team is far from finished in their work on the latest console. One of the goals on their list is providing background music on the console, according to Mike Ybarra during a GameSpot podcast via a previous report from Latin Post.
"Background music is on that list," Ybarra revealed. "Windows 10 will help us as we think about what's the right way to deliver that, and we want to do it in a way that surprises fans."
Background music was a feature available in the previous generation Xbox 360, but it did not make the cut in the latest model of the Xbox. Instead, users can listen to tunes through a third-party app, although some players would prefer not to because it takes up significant room on the screen.
Microsoft is also continuing to bolster their backwards compatible lineup with the recent release of 16 new Xbox 360 games playable on Xbox One. See the complete list at the official Xbox website.
