The Chicago Bulls are looking to avoid their worst losing streak of the season when they visit the red-hot Oklahoma City Thunder at the Chesapeake Energy Arena on Christmas Day. The Bulls have won their first meeting of the season, but the Thunder have won six games out of the last eight since 2012.

The struggling Bulls reached a new low on Monday when they lost to the 8-21 Brooklyn Nets, 105-102. The loss comes from the heels of a reported chemistry issues between Chicago players and the criticism of All-Star guard Jimmy Butler on head coach Fred Hoiberg.

Butler led the Bulls with 24 points, three rebounds, and four assists while Pau Gasol added 20 points, nine boards, three assists and two blocks. Derrick Rose continued his sub-par season, scoring only eight points in 32 minutes of action. Doug McDermott had a good game off the bench, contributing 11 points, five rebounds, and two assists.

"It's very disappointing. This is a tough loss. You have to win your home games. We've dropped a couple in a row now. It's a bad, bad loss," Hoiberg said after the game. The coach was called out by Butler in a post-game interview saying he is not coaching hard enough, but the two met last Dec.21 and seems to be fine, for now.

Oklahoma City is coming off a sweep of the Staples Center, winning over the Clippers on Monday and trashing the Lakers last Wednesday, 120-85. Russell Westbrook led the Thunder with 23 points, eight rebounds, eight assists, and two steals in just 29 minutes of play.

"We just took care of where we want to be towards the end of the year. We did a good job of taking two big steps with two road wins for us," Westbrook said.

Kevin Durant had 21 points, seven boards, five assists and three blocks with Serge Ibaka contributing 17 points, seven rebounds, a steal and two blocks. Enes Kanter came off the bench to have a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

"It's fun basketball when everybody's touching it and everybody feels involved. We were making plays for each other. It's fun to see the ball hopping around and everybody getting good shots," Durant told NBA .com.

The Thunder lost to the Bulls in their first meeting last Nov. 5 at the United Center, 104-98 with Rose turning back the clock with a 29-point performance. Tip-off in Oklahoma City starts at 2:30 PM ET and is nationally televised on ABC. The game will also be streamed online via ABC Live.
