After an unexpected appearance in Germany a few days ago, the Korean creators of the Samsung Galaxy Ace Style have decided to make an official announcement about its release. This new model comes with a 1.2 GHz dual-core CPU, a 4-inch WVGA display, 512 MB RAM and a 5-megapixel camera. It runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat software and also has Samsung's TouchWiz UI.

Other features of the phone include a 4 GB internal storage, a VGA front-facing camera and a 1,500mAh battery. The model will be available worldwide later in April. The cover colors to choose from are cream white and dark gray. Although Samsung has not released an official price yet, it is said to be around $330 to $500.

For its messaging features, it has an SMS (threaded view, MMS, Email, IM and Push Email). It also runs an HTML 5 browser. Other features include a document viewer, organizer and image/video editor. The display type is TFT capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors. It also features a 480 x 800 pixel display of 233 ppi pixel density. The memory card slot may accommodate up to a 64GB microSD.

For an entry level Ace style phone, proponents tout it as amazing. However, according to critics, it is no more than a rehash of what Samsung has previously released. According to them, the features are almost the same with slight changes made every now and then. Some critics also believe that the price tag is a tad higher than expected especially for a model that only runs 512 MB RAM. The model is supposed to rival the Moto G, but has fallen quite short in terms of features. Still, with its price it can even compete with Google's Nexus 5, which has way better features. Yet, since this is an entry-level phone after all, maybe it is reasonable enough.
