The penultimate episode for the instant hit Starz series "Ash vs Evil Dead" brought all the demons out of the woodwork and finally exposed some of the long hidden secrets of the Necronomicon.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Episode 9 was the last episode before the season finale, and it also set the stage for the big showdown that fans of the franchise have been waiting a long time to see. As many may already know, the Necronomicon has had a mind of its won, at least to some degree. But in the end, it is just a book, and like all books, there is always an author.

The episode started out with the final moments of the previous episode with Ash fighting the Evil Ash. Pablo and Kelly are confused about Ash's slurring and who they should help. That is, until the real Ash shows his selfish side, and Kelly instantly pumps the Evil Ash full of lead. Kind of a funny what to figure it out, but it was nonetheless effective.

Kelly and Pablo lead the hikers away from the cabin, presumably to safety, while Ash stayed behind to dismantle the bodies of Evil Ash and Amanda. He got Evil Ash turned inside out fine, but when he went back for Amanda, she was gone. Of course being dead and gone both, that only meant that she was officially turned into a Deadite.

Of course she ends up on the trail with Pablo and Kelly where she kills the other hikers, and just before she can kill Pablo, Ruby resurfaces and saves them, sending Amanda running off howling through the woods.

Ruby makes her way back to the cabin where she joins Ash and offers to help him destroy the book. Ash heeds her advice and does as she says. But in the end, she tricks him and eventually reveals that she is in fact the author of the book.
