Kerry Washington is pregnant and her TV show Scandal, in its third season, has been shortened by four episodes. With only 18 episodes for Season 3, Season 3 will be ending on April 17. Earlier this year, the TV drama had won all four of the nominations it had received, including an Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series award for Kerry Washington from the NAACP Image Awards The series also won a Peabody Award for Area of Excellence (Television).

Fans of Scandal will definitely have to watch the season finale on April 17. The location of the bomb planted by Maya has not yet been revealed although surveillance footage already showed Maya killing Senator Hightower. Before the finale there were several unanswered and important issues, including Huck and Quinn hooking up, Rowan shooting Dominic Bell, Maya's lover and some paternity issues with Big Jerry.

Episode 18's title is "The Price of Free and Fair Elections" and, according to a leaked synopsis, Election Day is when the final episode will take place. Of course nothing will be held sacred as candidates race to try and capture votes. Will there be a time jump during the season finale? We don't know if and when Maya triggered the bomb and if Episode 17 actually took place just a few days prior to the election.

Fans are still not sure if there will be a Season 4 of Scandal, although going by statistics of how well the show has done, it is likely to be renewed. ABC has not yet released an official statement, though. However, if its numbers are to be something to go by, then it is highly likely that it will be renewed, since it is one of the biggest hits on ABC. One might add that the timely political drama is highly addictive. And if the latest tweet of Shonda Rhimes is anything to go by, then everything about Scandal is quite rosy at this point.

However, one Scandal regular, Columbus Short, might not be in Season 4 if he goes behind bars for four years for one count of felony battery with serious bodily harm. It happened mid-March during a brawl in a restaurant in West L.A. where the actor KO'd a guy.
