Air Jordan Release Dates 2016: AJ 4 Retro 'Alternate 89' Coming Out, See Pics & Price Here
Jordan Brand will kick off 2016 with a bang, as they are set to release a new colorway of the Air Jordan 4 Retro.
The Air Jordan 4 Retro will arrive at retailers in "Alternate 89" edition, which is officially listed as the White/Black-Gym Red colorway. Release date is set on Saturday on Nike.com and selected stores worldwide.
The Air Jordan 4 Retro "Alternate 89" edition features a white-based upper part with red hints, including the "Flight" and "Alternate" print as well as the Air Jordan branding at the back portion of the tongue. The also has a black Jumpman logo on the tongue and insole.
According to Nike, this edition, which was finished off with a red midsole and white outsole, was inspired by Chicago-based team's color scheme, including the Chicago Bulls -- the team Michael Jordan led to six NBA championships.
"The newest colorway of the Air Jordan 4 Retro posits what His Airness' shoes would look like if he received Player Exclusive colors," Nike noted. "With white tumbled leather uppers and Gym Red accents on the midsole, mesh and lining, this fits along nicely with the Chicago-based team's color scheme."
The Air Jordan 4 Retro "Alternate 89" will be available in full family sizing with retail prices set at $190 for men's sizes, $140 for GS sizes, $80 for PS sizes, and $60 for TD sizes. Check the official photos of this colorway below.
Aside from the new colorway of the Air Jordan 4 Retro, Jordan Brand is expected to release the first colorway of the Jordan Melo M12 -- the newest signature shoe of New York Knicks superstar Carmelo Anthony -- early next year.
According to Solecollector, the Jordan Melo M12 will debut in Black/Metallic Hematite-Fire Pink-Green Gusto colorway, which is dubbed as the "The Dungeon" edition.
The Jordan Melo M12 "The Dungeon" sports a black-based upper part combined with green Jumpman logo near the heel area and Melo branding on the tongue. It was finished off with a black midsole and multi-color outsole.
The Jordan Melo M12 will reportedly debut in early January and will be available for $169 per pair. More information are expected to surface in the coming days. Check out the leaked photo of this edition on this link.
