Latino Music Tours & Concerts to Look For in 2016
2015 may have been the year of Taylor Swift's "1989 World Tour," but 2016 could be all about one of your favorite Latino music stars.
Sure, Swift had Latino stars like Selena Gomez, Ricky Martin and Fifth Harmony take the stage with her, but in 2016, Latino tours, which have already created plenty of buzz, will take center stage.
Aventura: 2016 Reunion Tour
This is probably the hottest ticket in town, because it's the last time fans will get to see Aventura together. The "Kings of Bachata" will begin a series of concerts at the United Palace Theater in New York City on Feb. 4 and will continue with 15 more shows through out the month.
The group sold out tickets for their first few shows within the hour of going on sale and have sold over 75,000 tickets for the exclusive event. Talk about definitely being an "Obsesion."
Jennifer Lopez: "All I Have" Las Vegas Residency"
The Puerto Rican star is sure to bring back her "Jenny from the Block" persona when she starts her residency at the AXIS Theater in the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas on Jan. 20.
The Latina will be putting on shows that are sure to challenge those of Britney Spears, Celine Dion, Cher, Shania Twain and Mariah Carey. Fans of the star can watch her bust a move to "Get Right," take you back with "If You Had My Love" and get you pumped with "On the Floor." Regardless, you're sure to be standing up the whole time.
Julieta Venegas: "Algo Sucede Tour"
Your favorite Latin indie artist is going on tour next year. Julieta Venegas will be touring to promote her Grammy-nominated album, "Algo Sucede," starting February 2016. The star will performing several shows in Texas, California, a few others in unannounced states and will also be heading to Europe to perform in Spain and Switzerland.
Venegas will also be heading to Puerto Rico, Mexico and other Latin American countries.
Demi Lovato: "Future Now - The Tour"
Demi Lovato has shown off plenty of her new confidence with a her latest album, "Confident," and next summer she will be taking that confidence to the stage. The singer will be performing hits from the album in a joint tour with fellow pop star, business partner and best friend Nick Jonas.
The tour will take the two singers across the Unites States, beginning at Sunrise, Florida on June 24 and ending on Sept. 17 in Los Angeles. With Lovato and Jonas being two of this year's most popular artists, each ticket gets fans two superstars for the price of one. How's that for a deal?
Selena Gomez: The Revival Tour
Lovato won't be the only former Disney starlet touring this summer. Selena Gomez will be taking her new sexy image and series of hits, like "Good For You," "Same Old Love" and "Hands To Myself," around the U.S. and Canada for her "Revival Tour."
The tour begins on May 6 in Las Vegas, followed by shows in a few other states before heading to Canada and returning back to the U.S. on May 28. Gomez will then finish off the rest of her tour in the U.S. until July 8, where she will perform at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Fans of the star shouldn't think for a second that Gomez will take the stage and perform a G-rated set; instead expect a lot of leotards, sexy dance routines and plenty of hair extensions.
Nicky Jam: "The Fenix Tour"
Nicky Jam was everywhere this year. Come the New Year, 2015's biggest breakout star isn't going anywhere. He will be performing his monster hit, "El Perdón," more often when he begins his first North American tour, on Dec. 24. The reggaeton star will kick things off with a bang by performing at Madison Square Garden in New York City on March 3, followed by shows in Miami, Orlando and Chicago.
According to Billboard, Plan B, Cosculluela and Valentino have been confirmed as special guests and more featured artists will to be announced along with new dates.
