Producers of "The Real" talk show are rumored to have been more at ease while co-host Tamar Braxton was away recently from the show recuperating from pneumonia.

"They seemed much happier without her," a source told the New York Post of the several weeks Braxton was gone. "It's easier for them to book guests because celebrities don't want to book the show if they have to be interviewed by her."

During the time Braxton was away, show producers were able to land such big name guests as Kelly Rowland, Rick Ross and Dr. Drew Pinsky.

The star of the "Braxton Family Values" reality show was competing on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" when she first became ill. She had to drop out of the competition due to blood clots forming in both her lungs.

According to Reality Tea, Braxton was rushed to the hospital midway through dress rehearsals and was not present for the start of one of the live broadcasts. Braxton also stars alongside her husband Vincent Herbert in the reality show "Tamar and Vince."

Despite their busy work schedules, Braxton and her husband have reportedly had more than their share of financial woes in recent days.

Earlier this year, several media outlets reported that the couple had been slapped with a federal tax lien, and the IRS was ready to seize their possessions to pay off the debt.

Herbert was reported to owe the state of California some $525,050 in back taxes and the state of New York another $75,054 for a grand total of $600,104.

Those debts come on top of the $3,325,107.70 the couple is accused of owing the government in back taxes, after accruing debts of $66,315.30 in 2010, $2,267,845.97 in 2011 and $990,946.42 in 2012.

"The Real" also stars Loni Love, Adrienne Bailon, Tamera Mowry and Jeannie Mai as co-hosts.
