NBA Standings: Warriors Lose, Spurs Pull Just One Win Back in Western Conference
The Golden State Warriors lost their second game of the season on Wednesday night, this time to the Dallas Mavericks. With that loss, the Warriors are now 29-2, which is still the best record in the NBA and the Western Conference. The Warriors' first defeat came at the hands of the Milwaukee Bucks.
It is important to note that Stephen Curry did not play in that game. The Warriors are still perfect at home this year at 15-0.
Speaking of perfect at home, the San Antonio Spurs continued their dominance by annihilating the Phoenix Suns. The Spurs are now 28-6 overall and 19-0 at home. LaMarcus Aldridge has proven to be a great addition, and the bench is playing well for the Spurs.
The Spurs and Warriors have not played each other this season yet. They are scheduled to play each other on Jan. 25 at Golden State in their first meeting. They will face off four times this regular season. Odds are either the Spurs or Warriors will be the No. 1 seed in the west, so head-to-head matchups might just determine home court advantage come playoff time.
Either the Spurs or Warriors have won the Western Conference the last three seasons.
