Rockstar Games has continued to roll out new updates to Grand Theft Auto 5 and gamers are starting to wonder if sweeping changes could be on the way soon.

While some cheats have reportedly stopped working as a result of updates to the game, many are wondering if Rockstar is bracing for a possible next-gen release on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. According to GotGame, Grand Theft Auto 5 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 has already been listed in Romania.

This does raise yet another interesting question: Will the cheats even work on the next-gen game or will Rockstar Games decide to just phase them out entirely in favor of capitalizing on other new features such as the job creator mod capabilities and more. As mentioned on the Rockstar games website, "the Creator community can now make their own original customized Capture Jobs with the Capture Creator Update for GTA Online. Strategically place pick-ups, define weaponry, location and lots of other variables to make your own unique Capture Job for others to take on. We will also be reviewing your homemade Capture creations to stamp standout experiences as Rockstar Verified."

In a game that plays like an action-packed simulator, the job creation capabilities do make complete sense. It is worth asking, however, whether or not the cheats will also be featured in the next-gen release. If there are indeed cheats on the next-gen version of the game, then gamers will surely start to wonder whether or not GTA will feature cheats in the next GTA 6 game. Considering that many games have already eliminated the classic cheat system of typing in codes, this could be a possibility.
