FOX 'Glee' TV Show Cast and Spoilers: Heather Morris to Return for Season 5 Finale, Will She Stay for Season 6?
This season, a familiar and missed face will make another appearance on Fox's Glee.
According to an E! News source, Heather Morris, who plays Brittany Pierce, will appear in the season 5 finale of Glee.
"The fan favorite, who once rocked the halls of McKinley High with her jaw-dropping dance moves, will be appear in the May 13 closer in the newly transitioned New York City-based Glee," E! News reports.
According to sources, Glee producers would be more than happy to have Morris as a regular for season 6, which will likely be the series' last. The future of Brittany Pierce remains uncertain, however, as Morris has a lot on her plate with her 7-month-old child, Elijah. Thus, the actress has not been confirmed for season 6. She did, however, manage to make an appearance this season for Glee's 100th episode. Afterwards, she talked about how great it is to have so much on her plate.
"He's great," Morris exclaimed to E! News at Glee's 100th episode celebration. "I love being a mom. Boys are the greatest. It's so fun."
The 27-year-old actress was a recurring actor on season 1 before becoming a regular for seasons 2-4. In June, Morris decided to not be a regular actor for season 5.
Brittany was last seen running away to Hawaii with love interest Santana Lopez, played by Naya Rivera. Both girls, however, planned to come back to New York City after their vacation.
At least two episodes of season 5 of Glee will not feature Rivera, but she will reportedly return. Earlier, sources said that Glee writers are working on "major story arcs" for Santana in New York.
Brad Falchuk, Glee executive producer, has previously described season 6 as a "comeback."
"We do know exactly who is coming over and what the storylines will be," he said.
The season 5 finale of Glee premieres on Tuesday, May 13 at 8 p.m. on Fox. Season 6 of Glee begins Fall of 2014.
