Donald Trump has been making the headlines as he would always slam other presidential candidates during his speeches. As per CNN's news, Trump is now going against Obama as he opposed the president's gun control plans.

During his interview with "Face of the Nation" on CBS, Trump stated that he doesn't want the second amendment changed. He then stated that the gun owners are to be blamed and not the gun itself. Trump then added that the gun owner's mental health is the one that should be assessed, and that America's mental health problems are the issues that needs to be focused on. He discussed his opposition to Obama's plan during his one on one interview with John Dickerson.

Trump then told Dickerson that, "I don't like anything having to do with changing our Second Amendment. We have plenty of rules and regulations. It's plenty of things they can do right now that are already there. They don't do them. We have a tremendous mental health problem, We are closing places all over the world, all over the country they are closing, but they are closing all over the world. All they want to do is blame the guns. And it is not the gun that pulls the trigger."

President Barack Obama has been open in showing his frustration against mass shootings that continually increased in number all throughout the years. As per BBC's report, Obama himself wanted to take a stand in making a movement to conquer the gun violence that the United States have been facing.

During his first weekly address for this year, Obama stated that he will use his power as a president to seek solution due to the fact that the US congress was not able take action in solving the ongoing dilemma. He even pointed out that his greatest frustration as a president was his failure to gain Congressional backing for "common sense gun laws."

Lauren Bicker from BBC then stated that Obama has the capability to use his authorities in some areas which includes gun control policies. Bicker then added that Obama however is likely to face oppositions when it comes to rolling out his plans.

During his speech, Obama stated, "We know that we can't stop every act of violence, but what if we tried to stop even one? What if Congress did something -- anything -- to protect our kids from gun violence?"
