It was not totally a happy New Year as the people in the town of Salem faced some tragic situation just as everybody is celebrating New Year's Eve.

"Days of Our Lives" spoilers reveal how the characters' lives were left in the brink of death when someone made the bad decision of drinking and driving. DOOL spoilers, according to the International Business Times, show everybody having the time of their lives at the Basic Black party when Eric (Greg Vaughan) decided to drive the car while under the influence of alcohol.

His decision will put the lives of Jennifer (Melissa Reeves), Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Daniel (Shawn Christian) in danger. Nicole (Arianne Zucker), on the other hand, will eventually find the courage to confront Kate (Lauren Koslow) about her undesirable behavior during the show.

 

Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) will again struggle to make an impossible decision. Roman (Josh Taylor) will realize something about Eric -- a terrible realization that will change the way he thinks about the man.

DOOL spoilers for Jan. 4 to Jan. 8 also reveal how Abigail (Kate Mansi) will convince Chad (Billy Flynn) that he's really the father of her son Thomas. This week will also show Brady's hospitalization, where John (Drake Hogestyn) will make a big sacrifice to save Brady. Nicole, on the other hand, will feel less than sorry for Jennifer and will lash out on her. Chad will eventually receive a confirmation on the true identity of Thomas' father.

Rafe (Galen Gering) will feel a bit worried about Hope (Kristian Alfonso) as she continues to work on with the issue of Bo's captivity. Hope will do anything to get Stefano (Joseph Mascolo) to confess. Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) will support Belle after she has revealed her secret to him. Rafe will grow more worried about Hope's confrontation with Stefano.

"Days of Our Lives" spoilers also reveal that Marlena (Deidre Hall) and Roman will finally voice their concern about their son. Ava will also work on coming clean during the New Year and will give some significant evidence for Steve to eventually discover.

Nicole's anger on Jennifer finally leads to the former saying goodbye to Daniel. Finally, "Days of Our Lives" spoilers reveal that Jennifer may, after all, had something to do with Daniel's hospitalization, instead of putting all the blame on Eric.
