Drake Nothing Was the Same MP3 Not Needed: Rapper Gives Surprise Performance to Coachella Fans and Cancer Patient
Nothing Was The Same rapper Drake has been full of surprises lately.
He first paid a surprise visit to his fan Kennedy Brown in Houston Texas. Fifteen-year-old Kennedy Brown is currently battling stage four brain cancer and her dying wish was to meet Drake.
With the help of her friends and Drake himself of course, Brown's dream finally came true this past weekend.
So how did Drake find out about Brown's biggest wish? Well, due to Brown's cancer diagnosis, she was unable to finish the school year at Houston's Carnegie Vanguard High School.
Brown's friends did not want her to miss out on fun activities while she was sick so they organized a prom where Brown was named prom queen, held a graduation where she was able to receive her diploma while NBA team the Houston Rockets was in attendance, and finally her friends started a social media campaign hash tagged #DrakeforKen to get the famous rapper's attention.
Talk about some terrific friends.
As the hashtag went viral, Drake took notice and notified Brown's parents that he was on his way to hang out with Brown and her family.
Judging by his flood of Instagram photos with Brown and her family, Drake had a great time.
He posted a photo with the caption "All these beautiful people #drakeforken turned into #kenfordrake I am so happy."
Drake surprised even more of his fans at Coachella when he appeared onstage with "The Worst" singer Jhené Aiko to perform their duet, "From Time."
After their duet, Drake told the audience: "This is my first time at Coachella, by the way. I wanna let you know that it's a mutherf**kin honour to be here tonight and you better make some noise for Jhené one time. Coachella I go by the name Drizzy Drake!"
The crowd went wild.
