Dascha Polanco recently posed nude for a photo shoot.

Though the actress' character on "Orange Is the New Black," Dayanara Diaz, may shy away from attention, Polanco has proven time and again she is very confident.

On Dec. 30 and Jan. 2, the actress shared photos on Instagram from a photo shoot with Hollywood photographer Nick Holmes, which took place last winter while Polanco filmed her latest movie "Joy."

In the black and white photos, the 33-year-old Latina is laying on a bed with tousled hair and with only white sheets to cover her up.

During an interview with Rolling Out, the Dominican star discussed typecasting. She noted how being a size 8 affects her chances in the fashion industry, challenging her to break barriers with her curvy figure.

While Polanco was photographed in the front row at several fashion shows during the Fall 2015 New York Fashion Week -- including those of Zac Posen, Mara Hoffman, Jay Godfrey and Custo Barcelona -- she explained that, unlike other actresses, she rarely gets asked by designers to wear their clothing.

"There's a lot of brands that don't want to dress me because I'm not sample size ... but it just goes to show I have a decision as well, I don't have to dress with your clothing. It's not me waiting for you to dress me now ... I choose who I want to be dressed by," she said.

Regardless, Polanco has proven herself to be one to watch on the red carpet, mainly due to her confidence and acceptance of her curves.

"I'm definitely breaking the mold. I'm not a size zero, I'm still looking good as a size 8," she explained. "I'm secure in myself. People have opinions. For many I can be fat, but for many I can be voluptuous, for many I could be a nice chicken thigh to steak to filet mignon. To each his own."
