Lorde Denies Throwing Shade at Kendall Jenner, Harry Styles
"Royals" singer Lorde speaks out on rumors claiming that her recent social media post, where she talked about not being in St. Bart's, was not a shade at "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star Kendall Jenner and One Direction member Harry Styles, who were recently photographed together in a vacation in St. Bart's along with other celebrities.
On an Instagram post a couple of days ago, singer Lorde posted an artsy photo of a girl on a yacht writing the caption, "When you scroll through your feed and all the pretty famous boys and girls are on yachts or in saint barth's and you're at home where it's raining and you've never even been on a holiday to another country before," she wrote. "Never been to a tropical island let alone saint barth's and actually you aren't even sure if you're spelling saint barth's right."
After the post, the photo went viral with many claiming that it was directly related to recent news by the Daily Mail showing PDA photos of Jenner and Styles on a yacht.
However, Lorde added an extra statement on her original post. She wrote, "lol no 'shade' folks if i were on an island or in even nearish proximity to a yacht you would be hearing all the fuck about it just making fun of my own lameness."
E! News says that the statement clearly proves there are no feud between the stars. Jenner and Styles, however, have not yet commented on the reports involving their captured PDA moments.
According to Daily Mail's Dec. 31 article on the rumored couple, the two were very handsy with each other while laughing and being romantic.
Elle further noted that after their St. Bart's trip, the duo headed to Anguilla in the Caribbean for another romantic getaway. An onlooker even posted on Twitter what she saw.
Both were already previously reported to have dated but denied it upfront at that time. "I mean, we went out for dinner, but no, I guess," Styles previously told E! News back in 2013 when they were first rumored to be dating.
