The year is shaping up to be a great one for gamers all over the world and Sony is doing its part by revealing the new batch of PlayStation 4 exclusives up for release in 2016. The company made the announcement through a two-minute video that detailed the new exclusives and console debuts that fans can look forward to in the upcoming months.

There are a lot of hotly anticipated titles coming up that will likely give PlayStation 4 even more of a boost in the console battle. A report from GameSpot divided the 20 confirmed games into two categories: first-party games that are likely to be a permanent exclusive to the PlayStation 4 and business agreements between Sony and third-party studios that could range from console exclusives that are also available on PC, timed exclusives that will be released to other consoles at a later date, or titles that just haven't been confirmed as total exclusives yet.

The first-party exclusive titles consist of popular games such as "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" and "The Last Guardian." Other titles include "Horizon: Zero Dawn," "Gran Turismo Sport," "Gravity Rush 2," "Ratchet and Clank," "The Tomorrow Children," "Drawn to Death" and "Dreams."

In the other category fall the following games: "Street Fighter 5," "Firewatch," "What Remains of Edith Finch," "Shadow of the Beast," "Boundless," "Nier Automata," "Alienation," "Hellblade," "Paragon," "The Witness" and "No Man's Sky."

It's not surprising that the company is featuring such a strong lineup this year. As Latin Post previously reported, Managing Director of Sony Computer Entertainment in Australia Michael Ephraim has told GameSpot that the team has been preparing to debut a good roster in 2016 saying, "Next year, our first party lineup looks incredible."

One of the most anticipated games in PlayStation's impressive lineup is "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End." It was recently revealed that Naughty Dog has pushed back the release date another month to April, but the team will be updating the fanbase soon.

Lead designer Robert Cogburn has said on his Twitter account that players could look forward to details not just on the initial launch, but also the multi-player feature of "Uncharted 4."

"Played the [three] largest maps we have in the game yesterday," he said on tTwitter. "So awesome people from the office come by and share their stories after a playtest."

Cogburn posted later on Twitter, "Lots of stuff to show off in 2016 about U4MP."
