After a heartbreaking moment at the end of the last episode of "Madam Secretary," the next episode is primed to bring out the worst in the show's characters. That could also mean that Bess and Henry could have lost trust in one another.

Episode 11 is titled "Unity Node" and will be returning to air from its holiday hiatus on broadcast network CBS this Sunday, Jan. 10 at 8 p.m. EST, according to TV Guide.

There is good reason to believe Elizabeth McCord and Henry McCord are at an impasse in their marriage, following the betrayal of his informant by her and President Dalton to reach a deal with Russia. But that story is going to be put on hold because there are much larger issues on the table now.

According to Spoilers Guide, that deal they struck with the Russians is now in jeopardy. There will be an unexpected turn of events that could ultimately call the deal off if Bess does nothing to deal with it. And she is running out of time when the show starts, so it is a race to fix what went wrong.

If she is unsuccessful with her task, the deal dissolves, and Henry will have lost his informant to the Russians for no good reason. Fans can probably guess that Dmitri is already dead or being tortured at this point, and Henry has every reason to believe the latter.

To make matters worse for Bess, she gets in the middle of another skirmish that is not on either party's land, or even Earth for the matter. An emergency situation has arisen out of the International Space Station, and she has to use all of her powers and skills to calm those waters and deal with those in space.

That includes dealing those on the ground as well, given that international politics may be compromised during the situation.
