Drama and tension are building up in Genoa City as the characters of "The Young and the Restless" face tough and life-threatening decisions this week, including, of course, the recently hospitalized Billy Abbott and Ashley Abbott's newly discovered health condition.

Earlier this week, Billy was caught in a life-threatening incident involving Noah Newman. Apparently, gambling that night was not a good idea for Billy as he was accidentally backed over by Noah, leading him in critical condition.

Soap Shows reveals that this week, Billy's life may or may not be saved because Dr. Neville is now suggesting that he should undergo his medical protocol, even when it is against the doctors' advice in Genoa City Memorial.

Dr. Neville comes to Victoria Newman to ask her to convince Jill Abbott. But it is still unknown if Jill will give in. Meanwhile, Dr. Neville is also included in the tension-building scenario with Ashley, her daughter Abby Newman and Stitch Rayburn.

Since Dr. Neville and Ashley are working together after finding out Ashley's tumor and trying to find ways to cure her secretly, her family are now starting to wonder what is going on between the two. Abby notices that her mother is now closer with Dr. Neville, according to the publication.

Meanwhile, Celeb Dirty Laundry reveals that Stitch is looking out for Ashley as he now worries that Dr. Neville might get Ashley into trouble, but this is not the goal of Dr. Neville. He, in fact, will lend a helping hand in Billy's situation if Jill accepts.

Dr. Neville's help for Billy might just be the solution to his critical health condition, and according to the news agency, the doctor's protocols are perfect for Billy's condition. However, aside from all the medical issues, Dr. Neville and Ashley might just develop a new form of relationship, more than anything professional.

The two have been spending time together ever since Ashley's tumor discovery, which might prompt a romantic relationship. In other news, Paul Williams digs in to Billy's life as he is determined to know what's behind Billy's mind in betting so much and why he needs to win.

This will give tension for Kevin Fisher, Mariah Copeland and Noah as Paul starts asking the right questions that they may or may not answer truthfully as answer because they may be found guilty and responsible for Billy's conditions.

All these and more on "The Young and the Restless," which airs weekdays on CBS.
