MLB The Show 14 PS4 & PS3 Release Date & Gameplay: New Dynamic Fielding Marker Changes Outfield Perspective; Next-Gen Release Coming In Less Than A Month
MLB 14 The Show is not just an upgrade in graphics and presentation but also in gameplay, many reviews have indicated.
We are less than a month away from the game's debut on the next-gen PlayStation 4 (May 6) platform after the April 1 PS3 release and everyone has been anticipating the new additions and changes. One of the most notable updates in this year's version of the game is the way that the outfield gameplay has changed.
In past years, people would easily move their outfield player over towards the ball and the catch would be made without much difficulty. This year, they've changed that around with a new Dynamic Fielding Marker. It should be even more detailed and developed on the PlayStation 4 version once it comes out, but the early reviews from PlayStation 3 gamers indicates that it is "the biggest change you will notice," according to Robert Kollars in a review for Operation Sports
"It's [sic] basically replicates an improved version of the Road to the Show (RttS) camera," he said. "It keeps the ball in the players view at almost all times, and really adds a very cool and new perspective for the user. This new camera view will take some getting used to for most, but as always, the game has plenty of options if you find yourself not enjoying the perspective."
Have you already tried MLB 14 The Show on the PlayStation 3 or are you waiting for the next-gen version of the game to hit the market?
