Season 4 of The Walking Dead is over, and fans are counting the days until the season 5 premiere. Lucky for viewers, Scott M. Gimple says there may very well be a lot more of the AMC show after that.

Recently, Gimple, The Walking Dead showrunner, spoke with Larry King about the popular zombie show which he says could have a long future ahead of it.

"As a comic book, I don't know if it will end," Gimple explained on Larry King Now. "As a TV show, all TV shows end, but I will say I think it's possible that it could go on and on and on. I think if it went 10 years ... if it went longer than that it's possible that the cast, considering the amount of deaths on this cast and everything else, after 10 or 12 years, it could shift into a whole new cast."

Gimple also revealed that Morgan, played by Lennie James, will return at some point.

"I am so determined to make that happen by hook and by crook that I can say definitively yes, but there's time and tide that can get in the way," he explained.

So what does season 5, which premieres in October, have in store?

"Rick and Co. are going to be recruiting as many people as possible in order to get revenge on those man-eating freaks who run Terminus," E! News reports. "One of the allies we're most excited to meet is 17-year-old Burton. He may be young, but he's already suffered great tragedy when lost his leg. Luckily Burton does not let his disability keep him down, and his positivity is infectious to everyone else around him."

The report is especially interesting because it alleges that the Terminus residents are in fact cannibals, something the show has refused to confirm or deny.

Emily Kinney as Beth Greene and former UGA football player Chase Vasser are confirmed for season 5 as well.
