Xbox is racing to the top with the latest discounts available for Xbox Live Gold subscribers. The Forza-centric week was revealed by Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb on his website and is expected to excite sports lovers with some of the best deals around.

From add-ons to full games, players on Xbox One will have their hands full this week. The Deals with Gold for the latest console includes "Another World: 20th Anniversary Edition," "Blue Estate," "Forza Horizon 2 Alpinestars Car Pack," "Forza Horizon 2" and "Forza Motorsport 5" Bundle, "Forza Horizon 2 Porsche Expansion," "Forza Horizon 2 VIP," "Forza Motorsport 5 Nürburgring Booster Pack," "Forza Motorsport 5 VIP Membership," "Forza Motorsport 6 Car Pass" and "The Jackbox Party Bundle."

The previous generation console will also be compensated well this week with the following games on sale: "NBA Jam: On Fire Edition," "Crysis" and "Syndicate."

The Deals with Gold will last until Jan. 18.

Existing games aren't the only one getting major discounts for Xbox, according to a report from Winbeta. Amazon Prime members will begin enjoying a permanent perk: 20 percent off on all Xbox One pre-orders and new releases.

This is an enticing addition for Amazon Prime's $99.99 annual membership, especially gamers who are often first in line for their favorite titles. While new releases are only eligible for the sale within the first two weeks of its launch, the price offers a pretty big discount. Furthermore, Amazon Prime provides release date delivery for the pre-orders, so players get to enjoy the titles instantly upon its launch.

Playing on Xbox is easier than ever with all the great deals available. It's just the way Microsoft likes it, especially since 2016 is shaping up to be a major year for the company in terms of gaming.

In an interview with Gamer Tag Radio via Gamepur, Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg revealed that the year is expected to be even more prolific than the past year was.

"As we look forward to 2016, we do have more games, we do expect to sell more games," he said. "We expect it to be a bigger year than this year [2015] and we will be sharing more about that line-up later but for us, gamers have a lot to look forward to. We shared our big titles like 'Gears of War 4,' 'Halo Wars 2,' 'ReCore' and some of the other hits coming and we will talk about the line-up and some other surprises as we get later into the year."
