New Reports Claim One Direction's Break May be For Good
News reports that One Direction's much talked about break is in fact an imminent split.
Us Weekly is reporting that the British pop band will not be reuniting after they take their highly publicized break.
Since losing Zayn Malik last year, the future of the group has been a constant gossip topic and after the group announced their two-year hiatus in November, fans and media outlets alike have speculated whether the band was done.
However, according to Billboard, there is no truth to these reports. The site reported that a source close to the band revealed that the group isn't headed for a split and that they will comment on their future plans as soon as possible.
Back in November, Niall Horan told Entertainment Tonight that, despite all of the rumors insinuating that their break would lead to a split, the group would remain together.
"We're not breaking up. We're literally taking time out to see our friends and see our family and reflect on what we've done over the last few years," he explained.
On Jan. 7, Horan used Twitter to reassure fans by reminding them that he is enjoying the break by tweeting, "Hey guys just to let ya know, I'm still here don't worry. Just keeping my head down and enjoying the break, hope you understand . Love you."

The group released their latest album, "Made in the A.M.," on Nov. 13, 2015, and have been promoting their singles, "Perfect" and "Drag Me Down," since then.
While specifics about what each member will be up to during their break are still unknown, it is safe to say that Louis Tomlinson, who is expecting his first child with girlfriend Briana Jungwirth, will be busy with fatherhood.
According to CBS News, Harry Styles is reportedly looking to dabble into acting, and Liam Payne is interested in songwriting and production.
