After rumors claim that famous British boy band One Direction is splitting up permanently, the group has denied the news in their latest statement. Rumors say that after their announced hiatus, One Direction will be splitting up for good, but this has been proven to be false.

Us Weekly first reported the news that One Direction, consisting of Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Niall Horan, broke up permanently. The publication further speculated that each one would move forward with their individual careers.

"The 1D thing just ran its course. They'll remain friends, but they are exhausted and want solo careers," source told the news outlet.

Furthermore, the news agency claims that some members will be doing something different away from their previous careers. Payne is said to be eyeing songwriting and production while Styles may launch a career in acting and singing.

However, this was all discredited when Billboard reported that the news was false and even received confirmation from a close source.

"Nothing has changed regarding hiatus plans for the group, and all will be revealed in due time from the band members' own mouths," a source told the publication.

And while fans wait for the official confirmation from the band members themselves or their representatives, the publication further revealed that One Direction may even release a new track which is not included in their album "Made in the A.M."

Furthermore, the news agency claimed that both Tomlinson and Payne will be in "Family Guy" together while on hiatus.

The news comes after the four-piece band announced that they will be taking their short break and will be enjoying the fruits of their labor for a while, ET reports back in November last year.

"I think it's important for us to take the break and have it as a break," Styles told the publication. "Obviously it would be naive of us to think that people aren't going to read into that in a ton of different ways, but we're just gonna take a little break next year."

Meanwhile, Horan has made it clear that they are not breaking up permanently when he told the news outlet, "We're not breaking up. We're literally taking time out to see our friends and see our family and reflect on what we've done over the last few years."
