With the New Year comes a new phone from Samsung as many are expecting that the Korean tech giant will finally unveil the Galaxy S7 at the Mobile World Congress.

With the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge already old by tech standards, it's just logical to presume that the company will unveil the successor to its flagship smartphone sooner or later.

But this year, it seems that Samsung is not pulling any punches as Phone Arena stated that the upcoming Galaxy S7 go out in a bang as it will have its own version of Apple's "Live Photo" feature.

Called the Vivid Photo, this feature will lets you record the first and last one and a half seconds when taking a picture, giving the illusion of the image coming to life.

However, this feature will not come out of the box. According to the report, it will only be made available on subsequent software updates.

Also, the Samsung Galaxy S7's camera will also be lowered to 12-megapixels, compared to the previous 16, but it will feature a brighter lens for better low-light performance.

Moreover, Android Central reported that the upcoming Galaxy S7 is speculated to come in three different versions namely the Galaxy S7, the Galaxy S7 Edge and the Galaxy S7 Edge+.

As noted, an earlier leak confirmed that Samsung will definitely launch its latest flagship phone in two screen sizes, as an image that shows the branding for the three variants was released with a screen size of 5.2 and 5.5-inches.

Design-wise, Samsung was reported to have made only minor tweaks for the S7, as it now again ditched the plastic materials for metal, giving the phone a classy and high-end feel.

Mirror reported that much of the materials used on the S7 will be basically the same as the ones used in the S6, but there are reports that said the body of the upcoming handset will consist of magnesium-based alloy, instead of aluminum.

The latest Samsung smartphone may be the most high-tech yet, as it will also feature a pressure-sensitive screen, akin to the one used in the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. That means, many users will now be able to use their smartphones just by pressing gently or firmly, depending on the command that they want.

Moreover, it will also pack quite a punch as the S7 will feature the Snapdragon 820 processor, which is one of the fastest mobile processors currently available now. Apart from that, the expandable memory feature that previous Galaxy phones had will be making a return.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 is slated for a mid-to-early 2016 release.
