Ronda Rousey has yet to reveal when she plans to return to the UFC after recently asking for more time off from UFC president Dana White due to changes in her filming schedule.

Rousey will star in the film remake “Roadhouse” but there were delays, causing changes in scheduled shooting dates.

White had no problems with such but when will Rousey be back? Better yet, will she be in any way interested for payback against Holly Holm who knocked her out at UFC 193?

To this day, it is believed that Rousey is still feeling the effects of that one though it is obvious that the head kick was only part of that fight. Rousey got badly outboxed and such is a glaring loophole for the sport which she did plan to get involved in back in November via MMAFighting.com.

For now, however, Rousey is devoting her time to acting, with her UFC future temporarily put on hold. But once she winds up her film commitments, it is believed that Rousey will need to undergo a tough grind to get back to fighting form.

But when she does, it may include having to hone up on her boxing skills since her current band of trainers obviously failed to prepare for it against a former boxer in Holm.

With that said, Rousey could do well to hook up with the best in boxing right now. Why not get Freddie Roach to help out?

There have been rumors back in November linking Roach to Rousey. Though it eventually died down, the rumors are once again up in the air.

But, Roach clarifies that he never got a formal request to train or assist Rousey so all that remains fictitious for now.

Roach was among the people who caught Rousey’s match and according to him, the former champion may have done better to take Holm down than engage in a boxing match.

"She's a nice girl and I wish the best for her, but I think that was a bad choice. She needs more experience in the boxing world. It was probably a mistake just to try that [box with Holm]. She should have just tried to go to the ground. That is my impression of what she should do. But again I'm not an MMA fighter but I know how to wrestle a little bit. That's a tough sport," says Roach in a piece from Boxingscene.com.

Right now, it won’t be surprising if Rousey is not even thinking about how to return and avenge her loss. But the boxing angle is something she should seriously look into if she wants to avoid the same results if (and when) a rematch with Holm materializes.
