Best Dressed at 2016 Critics Choice Awards
The 2016 Critics Choice Awards, which aired on Jan. 17, was the first time in the award show's history that television and film stars walked the same blue carpet to celebrate the best content of the year.
While the list of winners included plenty of surprises, the stars' fashion choices were more or less expected. Still, with the likes of Gina Rodriguez, Rachel McAdams and Kate Beckinsale attending, the looks were sure to please. Check out our picks for this year's best dressed.
Gina Rodriguez
The star of "Jane the Virgin" can do no wrong this award season. Aside from being nominated for best actress in comedy, Rodriguez has rocked it in the fashion department. Decked out in Pasquale Bruni jewelry and Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, the Puerto Rican actress glowed in a coral dress by Safiyaa.
Rachel McAdams
The "Spotlight" star dazzled in an edgy maroon gown by Elie Saab Couture from the brand's Autumn/Winter 2015 collection. The actress wore little jewelry, just adding a diamond ring by Bavna. She wore her short hair down, and her makeup featured bright red lipstick to compliment her gown.
Andrea Navedo
The television mom looked just as good as her TV daughter. Navedo, who stars as Rodriguez's mother on "Jane the Virgin," wore a blue bandage-inspired dress with metallic heels and clutch. The actress accessorized with drop earrings and a metallic ring.
Justin Baldoni
Instead of going for a classic black tux, the "Jane the Virgin" star went for a more eye-catching blue outfit, which he then paired with black leather shoes, a black button-down shirt and matching black tie.
Krysten Ritter
McAdams wasn't the only star who stole the show in red. The star of "Jessica Jones," Krysten Ritter, wowed in a dark garnet embellished Zuhair Murad gown. Ritter, who was a Best Actress nominee, also rocked a pair of Jimmy Choo heels.
America Ferrera
Like her fellow Latinas, Ferrera stuck to a solid color for her Critics Choice look, but had a little fun with platform Brian Atwood shoes. The "Superstore" star added a pop of color with a silver and pink clutch. She also accessorized with Irene Neuwirth jewelry.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley
The supermodel and actress stuck to classic black, subtle sex appeal in a gown and clutch by Saint Laurent. The "Mad Max: Fury Road" star looked every bit like she was ready to walk a runway. She added a bit of glam with silver sandals and Anita Ko diamond rope earrings.
Liz Hernandez
This "Access Hollywood" correspondent has been nothing short of fantastic while making the rounds this award season. Hernandez kept it simple and opted for a red wide-leg jumpsuit with a pair of pointed-toe nude heels.
Neil Brown Jr.
The "Straight Out of Compton" star went for a classic combination of black and gray with his tux. He looked effortlessly well put together. Brown's blazer featured a black collar, black buttons and pocket detailing. The actor added sleek black shoes and a black tie to help the black on the gray blazer pop.
Kate Beckinsale
The actress, a presenter at the ceremony, looked stunning in a fitted silver gown by Monique Lhuillier. Beckinsale wore long silver earrings to match her gown, but added color and print with a clutch by Kotur. The star's shoes were courtesy of Giuseppe Zanotti.
