The new trailer for "Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising" has been unveiled.

It has been known for a while that Selena Gomez would be in the new movie, though her role had been undisclosed to this point. The trailer highlights the fact that Gomez's character is a by-the-books sorority girl. Not only is she portrayed wearing angelic white, but she shuts down Chloe Grace Moretz's character rather early on in the trailer for refusing to abide by the rules. However, it is unknown how big her role will be in the film as she disappears after the first 30 seconds. Whether or not she plays a big role in the film will most likely be revealed closer to the film's release.

The trailer also highlights Moretz's character Shelby and her attempts to legitimize her sorority Kappa Kappa Nu in a world filled with double standards. As a result, her new cohorts get out of control, creating issues for their neighbors Mac and Kelly Radner (Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne). As in the first film, the couple try their utmost to shut down the out of control youngster, but find themselves constantly outsmarted.

Enter Zac Efron's Teddy Sanders, the character that had been Mac and Kelly's nemesis for most of the first "Neighbors."

The new movie is slated for theaters on May 20, 2016, though it was originally scheduled for a May 13 release date.

The initial "Neighbors" hit theaters in 2014. Director Nicholas Stoller is back in charge of the sequel. The first film was a massive hit, grossing over $150 million on a budget of $18 million. The film hit over $270 million worldwide and was among the highest grossing films of 2014.

Aside from her work on "Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising," Gomez is set to appear in "In Dubious Battle" and "The Revised Fundamentals of Caregiving." She is currently appearing in the Oscar-nominated film "The Big Short" as herself. Gomez will also cotninue her music career as she will embark on her second solo tour this May entitled "Revital Tour."

Gomez has recently worked on a number of films including "Spring Breakers," which brought her one of her first adult roles as well as the animated franchise "Hotel Transylvania." She has also starred in "Getaway" with Ethan Hawke and "The Muppets." Her first major breakout came in the Disney show "Wizards of Waverly Place," which starred alongside David Henrie and Jake T. Austin.
