The list reveals that "Ginza" is on the top spot, beating out mainstream artists like Justin Bieber, Shawn Mendes and even British band Coldplay.
"The most searched song in Europe," the 30-year-old captioned the photo.
In the last year, Balvin, although a Latino artist, has gained popularity in mainstream American music and pop culture.
The song is currently on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and is the only Spanish-language song on the list. It is also number one on the Hot Latin Songs list and the top song on the Latin Pop Songs list, beating out fellow reggaeton acts Nicky Jam, Daddy Yankee, Maluma and Yandel.
2015 Highlights for Balvin included his "La Familia" tour, breaking records with the release of the "Ginza" music video, performing with Major Lazer and MØ at the 2015 Latin Grammy Awards and being featured on the Latin remix of Justin Bieber's monster hit "Sorry."
According to The Fader, the general manager at Universal Music Latino and Capitol, Luis Estrada, explained that Balvin's success has been possible because Balvin breaks rules.
“He breaks every rule of what people think reggaeton is, and they love him for that,” said Estrada. “I think there are cycles in our business, and the new generation wants artists to be more down-to-earth and real, and that’s what J Balvin is. He doesn’t take himself too seriously.”
As for how he feels about his place in reggaeton music, Balvin thinks it's organic and always bound to happen.
“I think it’s like anything in life. Things happen, new ideas come, there’s a reinvention," he said.
