"Project CARS" is getting an update for its PC and PS4 versions. According to Tom's Hardware, Slightly Mad Studios made the announcement saying the 'Project CARS' Update 8.0 could be the last update for the game before its mother platform, the Oculus Rift goes into retail.

'Project CARS' Update 8.0 for PC includes a new pair of tracks and the expected additional car models.

Operation Sports was able to give detailed information about the Project CARS Update 8.0 for PC and PS4 platform. In terms of the tracks that have been added to the game, the Cadwell Park received an update that fixes an issue, where cars traveling at a straight track suddenly encounters a pit wall. This issue causes players to get disqualified in the game.

The update 8.0 for Project CARS also revealed some updates to its car models mainly, cockpit exposure and visual clipping issues for the McLaren F1 GTR. The Renault Megane RS265 has been fixed with issues on the asymmetry.

Overall, the Project CARS Update 8.0 covered mostly fixes on vehicles, GUI, controllers, tracks, physics, tires and setups as well as UDP, render and the Oculus Rift. According to the Play Station Life Style, the Update 8.0 for "Project CARS" was first introduced to European players before it was made available for North American players.

Meanwhile, Xbox One owners will have the update on a later date. The Stanceworks X DLC for Project CARS is expected to be released next week.

It is also important to note that players who will get the update for their PS4 platform should expect to shed at least 6.594GB of space in order to contain the update. Slightly Mad Studios is behind the "Project CARS" game.

The game has also made some VR adaptation as part of their updates. As part of that update, they were able to improve the game's VR driving experience in accordance to the progress on the Oculus Rift's software development kit.
