Real Madrid management has warned Colombian superstar James Rodriguez that he will be sold if he doesn't improve his attitude under new manager Zinedine Zidane. According to Spanish news outlet Fichajes, Manchester United are ready to place a £64.7 million bid on the 2014 World Cup star.

As translated by The Metro, the 24-year-old attacking midfielder is keen on leaving the Bernabeu because of a reported falling out with Zidane. Rodriguez has not found his form this campaign due to the same problems with the previous manager, Rafa Benitez, as well as various injuries.

It was noted that if United were to land Rodriguez, he would become the club's record signing, beating the £59.7 deal made for Angel Di Maria in 2014. Madrid will be very interested in getting a good sum of money for a player who is not motivated enough to play for their prestigious club.

According to a report by Marca, Zidane was surprised about Rodriguez's reaction after not being chosen to replace the injured Gareth Bale to start the second half in a match against Sporting Gijon. The French manager reportedly did not like the reaction from the player, but he still deployed the Colombian with 30 minutes left to play replacing Isco.

One of Colombia's respectable football journalist Ivan Mejia told a local radio recently that Rodriguez was on the decline because of too much partying and bad behavior capped off by an encounter with the police at the beginning of 2016. He was involved in a car chase with the police because the footballer thought that he was going to get kidnapped.

"He's in a footballing decline, he's not playing well. The Madrid board are worried because he's not that same James that arrived after the World Cup. He's racing his car, he's going out at night, he's making appearances in Qatar. He's lost all sense of perspective and isn't training well," Mejia said as quoted by The Mirror.

"He's lost his humility, lamentably. If he doesn't come back down to earth then he'll become a flash in the pan," he added.

Bleacher Report noted that due Rodriguez's form, Zidane has favored Isco as evidenced by the good performances by the Spaniard in past few fixtures. The 24-year-old Colombian played great in his first season with Madrid under Carlo Ancelotti. He is still just a year and a half removed from captivating the world by winning the 2014 FIFA World Cup Golden Boot and being named to the Cup's All-Star Team.
