The grand prize for Wednesday’s upcoming Powerball is $75 million with a cash value of $ 47.4 million.

Saturday’s winning numbers were 22, 32, 34, 40, 69 and 19.

There were regular 660,737 winners, and $5,664,575 in non-jackpot money was won.

There are nine ways to win at Powerball. There is a 1 in 292,201,338.00 chance of getting the grand prize, and a 1 in 11,688,053.52 in winning $1,000,000.

FOX 40 reports that a San Joaquin County poker group pooled their luck and won $779,264 after matching five of the six Powerball numbers for Jan. 9's drawing. This was the first time the gang of 11 poker buddies had ever gone in on a lottery together.

Phil Cullinen, one of the winners, described the elation he felt upon realizing that his group were winners. "We won, I instantly went numb," he said. The gambling group bought $220 worth of tickets, all from the same gas station in Stockton, CA.

With Powerball, playing in groups might just be the best way to beat the odds.

As FOX 5 reports, four mechanics from San Diego just matched five of the six numbers in last week’s multi-state Powerball drawing. The four mechanics won $638,146, which after taxes is estimated to be near $390,000.

Paul Pineda, the man who bought the tickets for his team, recalled how serendipitous the whole experience was. “I really never check my tickets the night of the drawing,” said Pineda “I sent out a text picture of the tickets to everyone in the pool. They were all calling me Thursday morning after the drawing and saying we had won!"

Richard Lustig, a Florida millionaire who has won multiple lotteries, agrees that lottery pools are a good way to gamble.

As quoted in NJ.com, he said, "Lottery pools increase your chances of winning. Just go with a lottery pool you can trust."
