The Golden State Warriors thrashed the San Antonio Spurs on Monday, 120-90.

With that win, the Warriors remained in first place in the Western Conference standings. The Warriors are now 41-4 and an incredible 21-0 at home. The Warriors are trying to win back-to-back NBA championships and are easily the favorites at the moment. The Warriors have won their last four consecutive games, and it looks like the road to the NBA Finals will once again go through Golden State.

Stephen Curry is the leading candidate to win the NBA Most Valuable Player award, for the second straight year. Many NBA fans believe Curry has overtaken LeBron James as the No. 1 player in the league.

Curry led all players in last night's game with 37 points in just 28 minutes of action. Once again the Warriors were able to sit Curry in the fourth quarter and preserve his energy for another night. That game marked the 14th time this season that the Warriors did not play Curry for an entire fourth quarter, an incredible fact considering they've only lost four games this season.

The Warriors made 11 three point shots against the Spurs, six of which came from Curry. Surprisingly, Klay Thompson did not make a single perimeter shot all game, but it didn't matter in this lopsided game. Tim Duncan was unable to play because of soreness in his right knee, but its' unlikely even he would made that much of a difference. The Warriors outscored the Spurs in all four quarters of Monday's highly anticipated matchup.

LaMarcus Aldridge had his most disappointing game as a member of the Spurs. Aldridge had just five points on two of nine shooting with three total rebounds. The Spurs are still an impressive 38-7, but it's going to be very difficult to beat these Warriors in the postseason on the road. Only time will tell if Gregg Popovich has a few tricks up his sleeve.
