The drama never ends on "Dance Moms." The last episode's intriguing events could shape the show's future in a major way as famous coach Abby Lee Miller seemed to be ready to exit the hit Lifetime reality series. Or is she?

Miller has informed the mothers and dancers that she is planning to resign from her position on the show. The announcement came via email, after the coach stressed over her pending federal case and she failed to show up for both the rehearsals and the weekly competition, Radar Online reported.

According to the publication, while Lifetime has teased that the coach might not be returning at all, this is not the case. In fact, Miller has intended to return to the show all along as she even spent the past weekend filming for "Dance Moms" in Las Vegas.

Court papers revealed that she applied for a motion to travel for work, placing her in the same area and time frame as Sheer Talent's Special Edition competition, which will be part of one of the episodes in the current season.

Miller may be or may not be fibbing when she said she's on her way out, but the show is certainly setting up the stage in case the "Dance Moms" coach does decide to exit. The fifth episode is tellingly entitled in "Abby's Replaceable". In the next episode's synopsis from TV Guide, it was revealed that the team is swept into chaos following the famed coach's disappearing act.

"After resigning the previous week, Abby locks the team out of her studio," the synopsis read. "Elsewhere, Debbie Allen invites the ALDC to work with her; guest choreographer Nakul prepares a Bollywood routine for the minis; Kalani and Nia are pushed to their breaking point with a duet; and Peyton and her mom struggle with two dances."

According to a report from IBTimes, the guest choreographer Nakul Dev Mahajan, is a well-known figure in the dance community, even dubbed as "Hollywood's Favorite Bollywood Choreographer". Playing to his strengths in the show, Mahajan will be creating a Bollywood routine for the mini dancers and the elite junior team.

The trailer for the upcoming episode offers more clues at the situation without Miller.

"After Abby resigned last week, I think it's very clear Abby set us up for failure," one of the moms' Holly Frazier said in the promo released for the next episode. "They're incredibly vulnerable. Everyone's hitting a wall and they have no leader."
