Will the Roman Reigns-Dean Ambrose End at WWE Fastlane?
For quite some time now, everyone has been witness to the friendship that Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose have carried in and out of the WWE scene.
Their bond had already been tested before though it ended brightly. But could that be the same scenario when the two figure in a Triple Threat match with Brock Lesnar at WWE Fastlane to determine the no. 1 contender to the WWE heavyweight champion Triple H?
Speculations are again flying high that there will be someone between the two turning heel before the night is done. But the question now is who?
Both faced off at the main event of WWE Survivor Series with Reigns coming out the victor. Everything turned out well that time but will Ambrose be as understanding if he loses? What if Reigns pulls a fast one on Ambrose or cost him a win?
Compared to Reigns, it is obvious that Ambrose has turned out to be more of a fan favorite lately. Everyone saw it at the WWE Royal Rumble and shows prior to that.
The Lunatic Fringe has proven that he can get the crowd up and about when he wants to and that is something that Reigns is apparently missing as cited by the Bleacher Report.
If the WWE wants a WWE champion the fans would embrace, Ambrose fits the bill perfectly. But will they be willing to throw away months of hard work on the Big Dog and place all that on Ambrose instead?
Rewinding a bit to the heel part, is that not the kind of star the WWE wants for its champion? Seth Rollins did it and Sheamus too. What if Reigns turns heel? Anything can happen right now and Reigns may need to be re-characterized.
Brock Lesnar is of course not to be discounted at WWE Fastlane. But with the Wyatt Family hot on his tracks, the mystery clan is almost sure of costing him his title shot en route to a showdown at Wrestlemania 32 as per Forbes.com.
For Ambrose, a surprise win at WWE Fastlane could signal the end of the Reigns build up. Unless that rumored feud with Chris Jericho (via Bleacher Report) sets in, seeing him pull on over Reigns could transpire.
Will the friendship end?
The only way that may happen if some sort of betrayal happens at the coming WWE PPV this February. This is where that celebrated heel-turn has cropped up yet again but we will just have to wait and see.
