Former child actresses and fashion moguls Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen made a rare television appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" after staying clear from the cameras for years.

Ellen last had the Olsen twins on her couch back in 2010, and in 2012 Mary-Kate and Ashley announced their official departure from the world of acting.

So what's new for the business savvy girls? Well, they revealed that they are coming out with two new fragrances: Elizabeth and James Nirvana White and Elizabeth and James Nirvana Black

"Our brand is about duality, and we wanted to be able to offer options," Mary-Kate told Ellen.

Although the Olsen twins are known for their entrepreneurship and business expertise (they were once ranked as the wealthiest women in the entertainment industry), it wasn't all business talk on Ellen's show. The twins also addressed the difficulty that people still have with telling them part.

Ashley told Ellen DeGeneres: "For us I think it's more like, 'Are you Mary or Kate?' or 'Are you Mary-Kate and Ashley?' or 'Are you the Ashley twins?' Well, I'm one of them."

Both girls wore black on the show and sported their signature dirty blonde locks. Ashley sat on the right of Ellen's red couch and wore a see-through crochet top while Mary Kate sat on the left and wore a silk dress. Tres chic.

To clear up the confusion about who's who, Ellen opted to play the Me/Her Game where she asked the girls a series of questions to distinguish which twin is better at what. During the game, both girls agreed they were equally messy and equally bad at singing, but it was Mary-Kate who was revealed to be the best dancer and the most likely to get out of a parking ticket. Ashley, on the other hand, was the funniest, but the pair couldn't seem to remember who received their first kiss first.

All in all, Ellen kept the interview fun and light with the Olsens and steered clear from questions about their personal lives, including Mary-Kate's recent engagement with boyfriend of two years, Olivier Sarkozy.

Although we probably won't see the Olsen twins make additional TV appearances any time soon, it was certainly refreshing to see how they've blossomed over the years and continue to make strides in their careers. It seems that, with so many young stars going down the wrong path, the Olsen twins continue to remain ahead of the pack.
