It looks like "Cool for Summer" singer Demi Lovato wasn't too cool about one social media user recently when she was reportedly slammed one through a couple of comments trying to defend his friend and "Camp Rock" co-star Nick Jonas, Inquisitr reports.

The publication reports that the singer, Lovato was in complete defense of Jonas just before the two take on an anticipated tour together. On social media, Lovato was quite vocal when one Instagram user posted a photo of a screenshot of Lovato's statement in Jonas' cover story for Complex.

Since the magazine features Jonas, the publication got a hold of Lovato and asked her to comment about the promotion of Lovato's music from her and Jonas' management and promotional team, since the two are under one label and have been good friends.

The user, who's gained so much attention recently because of the controversy involving Lovato, posted the screenshot of Lovato's statement for Jonas. The user wrote the caption, "Nick Jonas inspires you to be a better artist??¿¿¿ Nick¿?¿?¿ Jonas¿?¿???¿," the user wrote on Instagram.

"Maybe if your manager focused on promoting you and stopped making you say s*** like this and shoving your fake a** friendship down our throats you'd still be on the charts @ddlovato #demilovato #nickjonas #CanScooterPleaseHelpHer," the user added.

The post apparently prompted Lovato to step up and slam the user and was caught by TeenVogue, which released the screenshot of Lovato's comments. "You know nothing," Lovato wrote as seen on the publication's screenshot. "I may not be the highest on the charts but at least I'm still on them."

Meanwhile, Jonas remains to be tight-lipped about the recent social media controversy that is spreading like wildfire. However, Lovato's statement praising Jonas is making headlines, Inquisitr reports.

The Instagram controversy kicked off when the fan was in disagreement of Lovato's statement on Complex, where she praised Jonas for his work ethic, especially in improving his music. Furthermore, Lovato's statement included how she views Jonas as her twin brother and a business partner. Jonas is involved in Lovato's record label Safehouse records.

In fact, the two artists will soon reunite for a highly anticipated tour that is seen as a "Camp Rock" reunion, according to the news agency. However, details of the tour are yet to be released. As of the moment, both Lovato and Jonas have been silent about the matter.
