A Houston teacher who allegedly gave a 15-year-old student a lap dance for his birthday is facing charges for the inappropriate behavior.

The near-four-minute lap dance was performed by the 42-year-old teacher Felicia Smith after her class urged her to do so Feb. 26. It was also caught on video by one of the students with a cellphone.

The video was obtained by authorities, and Smith was charged with having an improper relationship with a student.

The teacher allegedly put a chair down in front of the classroom, and as music starting playing, Smith began dancing suggestively for the student.

Once seated, the student allegedly received a full contact lap dance that included Smith rotating her buttocks on his lap.

The teacher allegedly put her hands on the teen, fondled him and grinded on him. She even put her head between his legs while down on her knees.

During the dance, the birthday boy admitted to slapping and squeezing her buttocks.

Smith admitted to doing the dance that was capped with "I love you baby. Happy birthday," according to documents.

The teacher said she only performed the dance for the student because the class was encouraging her to do so. She has since been removed from Stovall Middle School's campus. She posted a $30,000 bond on Thursday.

Here's the statement released by the Aldine Independent School District:

"A criminal charge of engaging in an inappropriate relationship with a student has been filed against a Stovall Middle School teacher. The charge was filed by Aldine Independent School District Police, who investigated the case along with the campus administration. The teacher was removed from the campus during the investigation and has not returned. The district takes this allegation seriously and is fully cooperating with prosecutors. The safety and security of our students will continue to be a top priority in Aldine ISD."
