After barely getting a win over Bernie Sanders in the Iowa caucuses, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton may need the Latino voters more than ever.

During her presidential campaign back in 2008, many attributed her prolonged battle with eventual winner Barack Obama to her significant Hispanic supporters. With Hillary again in a similar tight situation, she's looking to the Latinos, along with the African-Americans, to serve as her "firewall" over the surging Sanders.

According to Latino Fox News, a recent poll showed that Clinton is still enjoying a significant lead over her rival among Latino Democrats. Although in the grand scheme of things, Clinton only has a 15-point lead over Sanders with 52 points versus 37.

But when it comes specifically to the Latino Democrat crowd, Clinton's lead over the Vermont senator was almost 20 points and if you consider all minority voters including African-Americans, her lead over her rival is almost 40 points.

This just shows that when it comes to minorities, many still see Hillary as the candidate that will bring genuine change when it comes to hot-button issues like immigration. It's been her mantra ever since the start of this campaign, whenever someone -- particularly Sanders -- questions her progressiveness

For her, being a progressive does not simply mean that you hold liberal ideals, it's someone that actually brings progress over the nation -- hence the term.

According to Fernand Amandi, a Democratic pollster in Florida, "The Clinton name and brand is respected and beloved by Hispanic voters." On the other hand, Amandi commented that "Bernie is an unknown quantity among Latino voters. He represents a state with very few Hispanics."

Many political analysts said that Nevada will serve as the "baptism by fire" to both Democratic candidates' Hispanic support.

Fortunately for the former New York senator, Las Vegas Sun reported that Nevada DREAMers have officially endorsed Hillary Clinton for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Astrid Silva and other Nevada DREAMers announced that they will be supporting Clinton. They said that they have met with all Democratic candidates and even attended several Republican candidate's events, but they felt that Clinton was the only one that can bring real progress over the U.S. immigration policy.

Silva said, "She has been able to give us a clear plan as to what she will do when she becomes president, and I know that she has proven record of actually going out there and fighting for the things she believes in."

As for Sanders, although he has been advocating change and progress on his campaign, many still feel that he has yet to directly set his sights to the Latino crowd and is still playing catch-up to Hillary's campaign when it comes to getting their support.
