Donald Trump Confident He Will Get Latinos to His Side; 'I'm Gonna Create Jobs'
Donald Trump is confident to win in New Hampshire, although one-third of voters in the place remain undecided. The presidential candidate is currently in the lead and talked about the creation of jobs, illegal immigration and the economy at Exeter town hall.
“I’m gonna win the Hispanic vote because I’m gonna create jobs,” Trump was quoted by Fox25.
Trump received the biggest applause from the crowd after he dismissed a woman who said that illegal immigrants are the backbone of the United States. The billionaire responded that hardworking people who came to the country legally are the backbone and make the nation great.
Even young people are vouching for Trump, stating that they believe in what he is saying particularly involving the illegal immigration issue in America - one that is becoming a huge problem. They added that they appreciate how Trump addresses the actual problems in the country compared to other candidates.
According to Real Clear Politics, former mayor Rudy Giuliani explained why he is supporting Trump over Senator Ted Cruz. According to Giuliani, Cruz is too stiff and right-wing so he would not win the west and northeast. Trump has the ability to reach Reagan Democrats, Latino voters and black voters.
An African-American union leader in New York City reportedly told Giuliani that he would support Trump because he can create jobs. Trump can draw black voters because he does not represent that the Republican party is against black people. Giuliani added that Trump is the most practical candidate.
"Donald Trump can do what Ronald Reagan did. He can reach over and get Reagan Democrats. He can also get African-Americans, believe it or not, Latinos... blacks have this feeling about the Republican party that we're anti-black, anti-Hispanic. We're not. But they have that feeling,” said Giuliani in the same Real Clear Politics story.
Giuliani continued that Trump could reach various groups and become an enormously powerful general election candidate.
While speaking to Iowan voters, Trump focused on reviving the state’s industry through his ability to make money. As a wealthy person, Trump promised to make wealth for the rest of the country. He said that he is the only candidate who is spending his own money to the campaign and that he will continue to make more money for the benefit of America. He promised Iowa that he will provide them with a better deal that will ultimately boost their economy.
More updates and details on Donald Trump and his appeal to Latino voters are expected soon.
