Air Jordan Release Dates 2016: Air Jordan 30, Air Jordan 4 Retro 'Cement' Arriving Soon
Jordan Brand will make waves again on the sneaker market, as they are set to release two highly anticipated models -- the Air Jordan 30 and a popular colorway of the Air Jordan 4 Retro.
The Air Jordan 30, the latest addition to the popular basketball shoe line, will be released in White/Black-Wolf Grey colorway, which has a grey-based upper part combined with black tongue and laces.
This edition also sports a white Jumpman logo on the toe area and an XXX logo that forms a basketball net on the heel area. It was finished off with a white midsole with unique pattern and an icy blue translucent outsole.
According to Nike, the design was inspired by Jordan Brand's evolution over the past 30 years. Long-time Air Jordan designer Tinker Hatfield discussed how he started designing the shoe and talked about the amount of pressure he felt in creating the shoe that will mark Jordan Brand's 30th anniversary.
Hatfield said Michael Jordan asked him to design the shoe in February 2015. "The next morning I drew a shoe," Hatfield said. "Because I knew I was in deep trouble. We had no time. Then I realized it wasn't good enough to sketch a shoe. I asked for that particular photo of Michael in the slam dunk contest and then I drew."
The Air Jordan 30 White/Black-Wolf Grey colorway will be available on Friday for $200 per pair. More information and official photos of this model are available on the official product page.
Meanwhile, Jordan Brand will also release another popular retro shoe model -- the Air Jordan 4 Retro "Cement" edition, which is officially listed as the White/Fire Red-Tech Grey-Black colorway.
Based on the official photos from Nike, the Air Jordan 4 Retro "Cement" sports a white-based upper part with speckled grey portions, including the midsole and heel area.
Like the previous remastered Air Jordan shoes, this retro model features a Nike Air branding on the heel. The Air Jordan 4 Retro "Cement" edition, which was last released in 1999, also sports a red Jumpman logo on the tongue and red Nike Air branding on the black insole.
The Air Jordan 4 Retro "Cement" will be available on Saturday on Nike.com and selected retailers worldwide. It will hit shelves in full family sizing with retail prices set at $200 for men's sizes, $160 for GS sizes, $80 for PS sizes and $60 for TD sizes. More details and photos are available on the official product page.
