Leicester City passed one of their biggest tests this season and extended their league in the 2015-16 English Premier League table after Week 25 of competition.

Leicester City boosted their title chances with a huge 3-1 victory against Manchester City in the battle of the top two Premier League teams on Sunday at Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City were favorites heading into the match and were tipped to overtake the Foxes in the race for No. 1. However, Robert Huth gave Leicester City a huge momentum boost with an early goal in the third minute of the match, catching Manchester City's defense by surprise.

Riyad Mahrez then made it 2-0 for the Foxes as he connected on a right footed shot after evading two defenders in the 48th minute. Huth then gave the Foxes a commanding 3-0 lead with a header in the 60th minute. Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero netted his team's lone goal in the 87th minute to avoid a shutout.

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri praised his team for performing well in the biggest match of their season so far. Ranieri pointed out that they are not feeling any pressure, which contributed to their impressive victory.

"We play without pressure because we don't have to win the league," Ranieri said, via the league's official website. "We must enjoy. This league is so strange and now it is important to think about Arsenal."

The Foxes are now comfortably ahead in the Premier League title race. They are five points clear of second-placed Tottenham Hotspur and third-placed Arsenal, who both have 48 points after 25 matches. Arsenal scored a 2-0 win against AFC Bournemouth on Sunday, while Tottenham escaped with a 1-0 win against Watford on Saturday.

On the other hand, Manchester City dropped to fourth place with 47 points, while Manchester United, who settled for a 1-1 draw against Chelsea on Sunday, remained fifth in the English Premier League table with 41 points.
