Marc Anthony has another award to add to his list. The Latino singer has recently been given a Guinness World Record title.

According to Latina, Marc Anthony made the Guinness World Record for “Most Year-End Best-Selling Albums in the Tropical Albums’ Chart by a Solo Artist.” The singer was given the honor for his three successful albums, “Desdeun Principio: From the Beginning,” “Libre” and “3.0.”

The singer received the award in New York City, where he returned to Madison Square Garden after 10 years to perform a sold-out show on Feb. 6, 2016.

“I cannot think of a better way of celebrating my return to Madison Square Garden and be presented with this recognition here at home, where everything began with just a dream. I am honored to receive this special recognition from Guinness World Records,” Anthony reportedly said.

Raw Story also noted that during his concert, the New York native also told the crowd how proud he was to be both Puerto Rican and Latino. He pointed to the people around the stage and noted Dominicans and Mexicans waving a flag. He shared that Latinos may speak differently, have their own food and have their own way of being, but regardless of where they come from, they are Latinos and they take care of each other. He said that there is only one box to check when they arrive in America, and it states “Latino.”

Anthony then went on to curse presidential candidate Donald Trump and criticized his xenophobia. He urged his fellow Latinos to wake Trump up and make him aware of the value that they provide.

As revealed in an article by Billboard, Anthony was attracted to New York City’s dance scene and recorded house music with Masters at Work in the early 90s. Anthony also collaborated with La India to come up with salsa records, while introducing a youthful edge. Some of his early albums were among his best, including “Todo a Su Tiempo” and “Contra la Corriente.”

Later Anthony moved to a new label and recorded several English hits. He also worked with many mainstream pop producers. Afterward, he focused on old tunes by Hector Lavoe, Jose Jose and Roberto Carlos, among others. Notably, his concerts involve a number of ritualized exchanges with the crowd. During his recent concert, he covered himself with the Puerto Rican flags that his fans gave him.

More updates and details on Marc Anthony are expected soon.
