iOS 9.3 Beta 3 Rolls Out, Here's Everything We Know So Far
Apple has recently rolled out the third beta version of iOS 9.3 to registered developers for testing purposes. The latest beta model is expected to bring more updates and fixes.
The first beta version was released at the start of 2016, which featured new 3D Touch shortcuts on new iPhone models, a new Night Shift mode for blue light reduction, Touch ID-protected Notes and more. The second version provided a Night Shift toggle in the Control Center, as well as introduced more tweaks here and there. Beta 3 further introduced more fixes and options.
Mac Rumors wrote that the third beta version of iOS 9.3 rolled out as an over-the-air update and via the iOS section of the Apple Developer Center. The latest version introduced a T-Mobile bug fix, which solved a bug that previously kept apps from loading over a cellular connection. Beta 3 also provided Wi-Fi calling for Verizon users, which let them put calls over a wireless connection whenever cellular connectivity is poor.
According to 9to5 Mac, users can find the update in Settings. There is a slightly adjusted Night Shift explained in the Control Center, as well as fixed icons in landscape view. Apple News will appear in Settings in Sweden, and most likely in other countries too.
Previously, iOS 9.3 had Apple News provide more personalized recommendations, a landscape view on the iPhone, faster updates and in-line video support. Health also included a new apply “Activity” view which was similar to the Apple Watch layout. Apple Music for CarPlay provided “For You” and “New” sections to let users discover music more conveniently. CarPlay Maps also included a Nearby Feature which gave more information for users.
An iPhone with iOS 9.3 can be paired with watchOS 2.2 to support various Apple Watches. iPhone 6s users will also find Quick Actions for Settings, Compass, Health, App Store, Weather and iTunes Store.
Apple Insider added that developers can download the latest iOS 9.3 beta 3, tvOS 9.2 beta, and watchOS 2.2. beta via the Apple Developer Center as well as several over-the-air update channels. Apple Configurator 2.2 beta 3 has also been released. The new tvOS build also recently included dictation.
As a major .1 update, 9.3 is expected to provide several new useful features, functions and fixes to Apple users. The new version is expected to roll out soon, although Apple has not yet mentioned an official date.
