The "House of Cards" season 3 finale ended with a cliffhanger, leaving fans shocked and delighted at the same time. The political drama series will be making a comeback in less than a month after Netflix released the fourth season's official teaser last week.

The last season featured Claire and Frank Underwood's rocky relationship, which eventually ended up with Claire walking out of the White House as per Vulture's recap.

For the fourth season, fans are eager to know whether the couple would patch things up or permanently call it quits. Aside from the couple's bumpy romance, the teaser also dished out a few details regarding Frank's campaign and his face-off with Claire.

In addition to the adrenaline pumping music and action packed scenes, the teaser ended with a tag line stating, "We had a future until you started destroying it." The intriguing phrase left fans wondering how the story would progress.

Despite the fact that the teaser is already packed with details to keep the fans on the edge of their seats, E! Online released several spoilers giving fans a glimpse on what to expect.

As per E! Online, Neve Campbell will be making a comeback as Kim Dickens. In addition to Campbell's return, it was also mentioned that there will be new guest characters joining the fourth season. The website stated that during a press release, Netflix introduced Ellen Burstyn and Cicely Tyson as the latest addition to the cast.

Aside from the list of new characters, reports also mentioned that the murder scene shown in the teaser revealed Frank's dark side. CP mentioned that the murder clip could possibly refer to "what Frank did to Congressman Peter Russo."

After the ratings dropped during the third season, the show runners made it a point to challenge themselves in coming up with something better. During an interview, Beau Willimon, the executive producer, stated that the team based the season 4 on the fans' feedback.

Willimon told E! Online that "We took a lot of risks with season three, we wanted to delve deeper into the emotional story. We wanted a little less political intrigue and a little more of the emotional flux. We wanted to tell the story of the marriage. I think there were a lot of fans that really appreciated that. And for a lot of them, this turn that we took made it their favorite season."

The fourth season's first episode will hit Netflix on March 4, 2016.
