There are rumors that Beyonce and Mariah Carey will be coming up with a duet soon. The two reportedly made plans on Thursday, Feb. 11.

According to TMZ, the two stars attended a benefit event in Los Angeles for the HeartView Global Foundation and were seated next to each other. The two allegedly had the chance to talk and agreed to create a duet.

Mariah also shared a photo of the two of them at the gala on Instagram. A lot of fans also shared and commented on the photo, spurring rumors that the two are indeed about to work on a project together.

“Two girls. One cause,” Carey wrote in her caption. Queen Bey wore a white caped dress while Mariah had a cappuccino laced outfit.

During the event, Beyonce and Mariah had a bidding war over a portrait of Ray Charles taken by Timothy White. The two singers bid thousands until the artist agreed to give both of them a copy.

One source stated that the two ladies have the same business manager, Jonathon Schwartz, who also operates that foundation, so it may make the possibility of a collaboration between them a lot more convenient if they decide to proceed with the plan.

The Daily Mail stated that Mariah currently has a Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace. She celebrated Valentine’s Day with her fiancé although she still had to work by performing in Las Vegas. Packer was presented and watched her show. After a whirlwind romance, the two got engaged in January. The two have not yet announced an official wedding date.

On the other hand, The Journal wrote that Beyonce will be going on a European tour in the summer. Fans are already trying to get hold of tickets at various legs of her tour. She also recently performed at the Super Bowl 50 halftime show, presenting her new single, “Formation,” to the delight of the crowd.

Fans should not get too excited in the meantime, since Beyonce and Mariah may have simply engaged in small talk. Until an official contract or written agreement surfaces, things can still change.
